Warehouse Safety

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2015, the incident rate for non-occupational injuries and illnesses (All industries including state and local government) was 3.3. Warehousing and Storage had an incident rate significantly higher at 4.9. The course will provide a general overview of the top 10 most frequently cited standards in General Industry. We will review the critical elements of an effective safety and health system and address the real cost for non-compliance.  

Instructor: Kevin O’Brien, Access Compliance

Kevin O’Brien holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree (Business Administration) from the University of NY at New Paltz. He has seven years of experience in the area of occupational health and safety. Kevin serves on the Executive Board for VPPPA Region 2 (Treasurer). As Safety Manager, Kevin is responsible for managing employee health at Access Health Systems. Access Health Systems is a risk management company with three occupational health clinics located in Albany (NY), Utica (NY) and North Brunswick (NJ). Through its affiliate, Access Compliance, AHS provides safety training and compliance services to general industry and construction. Kevin is also an Outreach Trainer in General industry.
