OPENING SESSION: MAKING MOVES FROM DOING TO LEADING - “Mastering the Art of Meetings”

Women in business are the backbone of our organizations, the glue that holds them together, and the engine that gets things done – all admirable, essential traits.  Yet the image of leadership in our world remains decidedly male.  What can we do to foster and encourage more women to move into and execute leadership roles?

This session will provide real-world, real-life strategies that you can use today. Learn How to Run a Great Meeting, How to Bring Your Influence to the Table and How to Truly Collaborate.

Our expert panel will provide you with the most essential, contemporary skills that you can begin practicing today to improve your leadership style.

Our expert panel includes:
Elizabeth (Betsy) Vicencio, Vice President/CFO of The Northeast Group and MHAB
Deena Giltz McCullough, President/CEO of Northern Insuring Agency
Lynn Magnus, Chief Compliance Officer and Director of Business strategy of Long Run Wealth Advisors
Courtney Meisenheimer, Community Engagement Coordinator, City of Plattsburgh

BREAKOUT SESSION A: THE IMPORTANCE OF BOTH PHYSICAL & MENTAL HEALTH FOR OUR OVERALL WELLBEING.
What comes first? The chicken or the egg? When it comes to physical health and mental health, the proverbial saying applies. Good health is a matter of balance. In fact, it’s all about balance. Our speakers will share insights and knowledge around real world strategies to promote whole health both within your organization and in your personal life. COVID has created a new normal and shined a light on the importance of mental health. Reducing stigma and normalizing mental wellness will promote meaningful change in our companies as well as our homes. Join us for strategies to live your best life!
Presented by Courtney Frank, Director of Health Operations and Kati Jock, Chief Integration Officer with Citizen Advocates

BREAKOUT SESSION B: BIG VOICE, SMALL TABLE.
From providing subject-matter expertise to an organization to personal negotiation tactics, women are expected to operate within normative expectations of communal behavior. When we don’t, we experience backlash and are perceived as being “difficult” or “overbearing.” Let’s explore how to confidently navigate the landscape of operating with a big voice at a small table.
Presented by Bonnie Rook, Director of Human Resources, Norsk Titanium

BREAKOUT SESSION C: POST COVID “RETURN TO THE WORKPLACE” MULTIGENERATIONAL PERSPECTIVES.
Join us for some bantering about the “return to the workplace” discussion. This will be a conversation with active participation of the attendees too. Who is anxious to return, who never wants to return, who cannot return and who wants flexibility. The challenges are massive and demands or willingness of employees are sometimes trumping the expectations. Who is in the driver’s seat on this? Employees, Employers or both?
Presented by Devi Momot, CEO, Alissa Momot, Marketing Coordinator and Audra Squier, Technical Solutions Consultant with Twinstate Technologies

BREAKOUT SESSION D:
HOW TO INCORPORATE HEALTHY HABITS INTO YOUR DAILY LIFE.
Being successful in your career requires focus, commitment, dedication and time. Being your best professional self also requires that you take care of your health. When you neglect basic healthy habits, you run the risk of being tired, unfocused and more vulnerable to illness. This can create a significant negative impact on your life in general but also your work performance, whether you work from home, on the road, or in an office. We'll discuss some easy ways to incorporate healthy habits into your daily life.
Presented by Michele Armani, Education Outreach Consultant and Cena Abramo, Talent and Training Manager, Ready4Real

BREAKOUT SESSION E: READY, SET, RESET.
The past 18 months have upended many things we took for granted, including, for many, career plans and life goals.  This session will introduce some of the most current information on opportunities, changes and detours coming out of the COVID-19 economic disruptions in the workplace.
Presented by Jacqueline M. Kelleher, Partner, Stafford Owens

BREAKOUT SESSION F: SOUNDING BOARD: WOMEN'S EXPERIENCES ON BOARDS.
Women leaders will share their experiences and answer questions about the value of board membership. Have you ever wanted to serve on a board? Not sure where to start? Whether you are looking to get involved in a non-profit board, community board or even a corporate board, this session is for you!  Many boards lack representation by women. Yet, research shows that more diverse boards deliver better results. This blockbuster panel will dispel myths and offer insights about the many benefits of board service. We hope that after this discussion, you consider joining a board and taking a seat at the table.
Presented by Kalimah White, VP/Wealth Strategist at TD Bank and Kerry Haley, Associate VP at CVPH
