CAN-AM CONNECTION COUNCIL
The Can/Am Connection is one of the most dynamic divisions of the Plattsburgh-North Country Chamber of Commerce. It is an alliance of businesses, organizations, officials, universities and agencies who share an interest in the growing connections between Canada and the United States at all levels.

 
Its programs and projects include:
  • Monthly roundtables and workshops to build relationships and knowledge related to crossborder commerce.
  • Research on crossborder business and transportation, including a bi-annual Economic Impact Assessment which is accessible on this site.
  • Promotion of the Champlain-Hudson Corridor from Quebec City and Montreal to Albany and New York City.
  • Advocacy in Washington and Ottawa on behalf of crossborder issues.
  • Hosting events and meetings with top Canadian and American leaders, such as the Canadian and U.S. Ambassadors.
  • Educational and training programs, including "CONQUER THE U.S. IN ONE DAY" -- an award-winning workshop for Canadian businesses on how to do business and grow in the U.S. This program is available anywhere in Canada.
