The North Country Chamber of Commerce is offering a digital marketing, social media, and e-commerce training series designed to help you find and attract new customers, clients, suppliers, and employees by creating a digital marketing strategy, building your online presence, utilizing online platforms such as Google/social media effectively, and so much more!

Whether you’ve never had a social media page before or just need some tips to help take your digital marketing game to the next level, this training is for you!

WHAT: One 2.5-hour class, once per week, from October 21st until December 9th (8 classes in total)

WHERE: All classes will be held at the North Country Chamber of Commerce - 7061 Route 9, Plattsburgh NY 12901. Subject to current COVID-19 restrictions

COST: $175 per employee for the full training series – price includes refreshments each afternoon.

  1. Fundamentals of Digital Marketing, Social Media, and E-Commerce
    Thursday, October 21st
    1:00 – 3:30pm
    Description: What is digital marketing? What is social media and e-commerce? Why are they important and how can they help your business? How are they different from other more traditional methods? How do they compare in terms of reach, cost, etc.

  2. Identify Your Digital Marketing, Social Media, and E-Commerce Needs and Develop at Strategy
    Tuesday, October 26th 
    1:00 – 3:30pm
    Description: Will provide attendees with a self-assessment to help them understand where they currently stand in terms of digital marketing, social media utilization, etc. Have them self-identify what they'd like to accomplish. Better understand what products/services they offer and how that impacts their strategy. Assist with developing a strategy.

  1. Tackling Your E-Commerce Checklist
    Tuesday, November 2nd
    1:00 – 3:30pm
    Description: Ways to obtain, develop, or create content including a logo, branding, photos, videos, and other content that is crucial before executing your digital marketing, social media, e-commerce plan.

  2. Using Social Media to Drive In-Store Traffic & Selling Direct
    Tuesday, November 9th
    1:00 – 3:30pm
    Description: How to use different social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and more to help drive traffic to your store or sell direct. Boosting posts; creating ads; using a social media scheduler to post across multiple platforms and schedule pots out in advance, etc.

  1. Options for Building & Improving Your Web Presence
    Thursday, November 18th
    1:00 – 3:30pm
    Description: Broad overview of what is available with an emphasis on websites, online stores, newsletters, etc. Tips and tricks for businesses to create a website, if they don't already have one, or how to improve an existing site. Incorporate online shops into websites so customers can purchase directly.

    Tuesday, November 23rd
    1:00 – 3:30pm
    Description: Topics like appearing higher on google search results, creating and managing your Google My Business, Google AdWords, Google Display Network, and so much more.

  2. DIY (Do It Yourself) Digital Marketing
    Wednesday, December 1st
    1:00 – 3:30pm
    Description: Free or very low-cost programs, services, and platforms that businesses can take advantage of to maximize their digital marketing, social media, and web presence. How to market your business on a budget.

  1. Tracking Your Results & Remarketing
    Thursday, December 9th

    Description: Better understand who is seeing/responding to your digital marketing strategy (tracking results on website, social media ads, etc.) and retargeting them to keep your audience/customers engaged.
