The North Country Chamber of Commerce is offering a leadership training series designed to help you and your employees obtain and develop the skills necessary to be an effective leader in the workplace!

Whether you’re working toward a promotion, were recently promoted, just started a new business, or have been in a leadership role for years – this training series is for you!

  • WHAT: One 2.5-hour class, once per week, from May 10th through June 27th (8 classes in total)
  • WHERE: All classes will be held at the North Country Chamber of Commerce - 7061 Route 9, Plattsburgh NY 12901.
  • COST: $175 per person for the full training series – price includes a hot, catered breakfast each morning and a framed certificate of completion at the end.

  • Description: The basics of what makes an effective leader: time management, teamwork, communication skills, inclusivity, and so much more.

6. Emotional Intelligence

  • Description: Also referred to as Emotional Quotient (EQ), Emotional Intelligence is the ability to recognize and effectively manage one’s own emotions and those of others. In the workplace, EI is one of those essential leadership “soft skills” you need to solve complex problems and drive team performance.

7. Building an Effective Organizational Culture

  • Description: This class will provide leaders with the importance of organizational culture, and a roadmap for the culture development process.
