The North Country Chamber of Commerce, The SRMT Office of Economic Development, SRMT Employment & Training Services are collaborating to offer a leadership training series designed to help you and your employees obtain and develop the skills necessary to be an effective leader in the workplace!
Whether you’re working toward a promotion, were recently promoted, just started a new business, or have been in a leadership role for years – this training series is for you!
WHAT: One 2.5-hour class, once per week (8 classes in total), from September 11th through November 6th, excluding the holiday on October 9th.
WHERE: All classes will be held in-person at the Ionkwakiohkwaróron Tribal Administration Building located at 71 Margaret Terrance Memorial Way, Hogansburg NY 13655
COST: $125 per person for the full training series – the price includes light snacks and refreshments and a framed certificate of completion at the end.

Description: While more than 80% of a leader’s effectiveness is determined through their Leadership Image, less than10% of leaders know what their Leadership Image and Leadership style are. This power-packed workshop will provide transformational information, ways of thinking along with tips and strategies to provide attendees with the opportunity to understand and identify their Leadership Image and style to be more effective in all aspects of their life.

3. Coaching, Motivating, and Mentoring for Performance

4. Primer on Key Employment Laws

While this course does not render legal advice or serve as a replacement for knowing and understanding the employment laws that apply to your business, it will offer concrete examples of how various laws apply in the workplace.

5. Deep Dive on Effective Communication Skills

In this workshop we will use foundational Emotional Intelligence principles to examine contexts in which communication is key but require different approaches: collaboration, coaching, managing conflict, and building trust.
