Ready to take your business to the next level? Join us for the North Country Chamber of Commerce's Business Skills Training Series! Tailored for small business owners, our series covers vital topics to empower entrepreneurs of all levels.

Whether you're a seasoned pro or just beginning, our in-depth seminars provide the crucial tools and insights necessary for success in today's competitive environment.

  • WHAT: One 2.5-hour class, once per week, from March 18th – May 6th, 2025. (8 classes in total)
  • WHERE: All classes will be held in-person at the North Country Chamber of Commerce located at 7061 US-9, Plattsburgh NY 12901
  • COST: $150 per person for the full training series – the price includes breakfast each morning and a certificate of completion at the end.

6. Primer on Key Employment Laws: Keeping up with the latest regulations and employment legislation is a challenging task for employers. Managers can protect both employees and their organizations by having an understanding of the basics of several key employment laws, and by understanding when to involve other parties such as Human Resources. While this course does not render legal advice or serve as a replacement for knowing and understanding employment laws that apply to your business, it will offer concrete examples of how various laws apply in the workplace.
