CHAMBER WELCOMES PURCHASE OF ADDITIONAL ALSTOM RAIL CARS BY NEW JERSEY TRANSIT
The North Country Chamber of Commerce is applauding news that New Jersey Transit has exercised an option to order 25 additional multilevel rail cars produced by Alstom in Plattsburgh. This is in addition to an original order for 113 of the multilevel cars.
"When such options are exercised, it not only means further business and work at our Alstom plant, but serves as a true testimonial to the quality of the cars being produced by our area's skilled workforce, both at Alstom and at its suppliers. This is great news for all involved, and further supports our region's large and growing cluster of transportation equipment manufacturers.
