Cloudsplitter Foundation Awards $10,000 Grant to Heart Well Homestead

In a significant boost to its capital campaign, Heart Well Homestead has received a generous $10,000 grant from the Cloudsplitter Foundation on November 4, 2024. This funding will help the organization move closer to launching its transitional residential program aimed at empowering homeless pregnant and postpartum women and their children in the North Country.

Heart Well Homestead is a nonprofit whose mission is to support homeless mothers' physical, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs so that they thrive. The organization is dedicated to cultivating a network of holistic health and wellness community resources and partners.  They have been actively fundraising since January 2024 in preparation of launching their facility within the city of Plattsburgh. This grant from the Cloudsplitter Foundation is a pivotal step in achieving their goals, thrusting them past the $100,000 milestone. 

Heart Well Homestead aims to create a welcoming environment for expectant mothers seeking respite, support, and growth; offering them “a hand up, instead of a hand out.”  With this funding, Heart Well Homestead is one step closer to making its vision a reality, ensuring that its community has access to this vital service that it desperately needs.
