Fort Ticonderoga announces a multi-year commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution, spanning 2025-2027. Through engaging programs, exhibitions, REAL TIME REVOLUTION™ signature events, and educational initiatives, Fort Ticonderoga will delve into the complex narratives of the war, examining the individuals, alliances, triumphs, and challenges that shaped the birth of the United States and their enduring global impact.
"Fort Ticonderoga is one of America’s most iconic landmarks – the site of the first American victory of the Revolution in 1775 and the birthplace of historic preservation in our country. This hallowed ground, walked by luminaries such as George Washington, Benedict Arnold, Ethan Allen, and Benjamin Franklin, stands as a testament to the resolve that shaped our nation,” said Beth L. Hill, Fort Ticonderoga President & CEO. "Excitingly, Fort Ticonderoga is set to launch the nation’s 250th anniversary commemoration in 2025 and will continue through 2027 featuring immersive daily programs, dramatic battle reenactments, new exhibitions, conference series and more which will illuminate global impact of the Revolution and its enduring legacy.”
